2011 – Turin Automobile Museum

The breath of life and movement to make old cars relive. Turin is the symbol of the Italian automotive industry, but thanks among others to the talent of its car designers Giugaro, Bertone and Pinin-Farina, its reputation echoes well beyond home frontiers. The city has an Automobile Museum with an impressive collection of cars from all over the world, especially racing cars. First designed in 1970, the staging and layout needed a serious overhaul: one floor to recount 20th century history in chronological order through the collection, with references to major economic, political and artistic events. Another floor on Sociology, Culture and the Automobile with themes such as Genesis, Madness, Formula, and another floor on Design.
