2006 – Confluence Museum – Lyon
Description
This competition was aimed at installing in the sumptuous Coop Himmelb(l)au architects building a museum of Natural history. The cost of the building has raised 4 times from 120 millions € to 480 millions… A very unexpected approach for Science, confronted to Beliefs, and whose original concept was developed by « very smart » Michel Côté.
Unfortunately, the most conservative members of the jury were terrified by our concept, and in spite of « Captain Courageous Côté » defending our point of view, we lost and Michel underwent the same treatment : he is now back in Quebec City…Maîtrise d'œuvre
