2019 – Reception centre for visitors, United Nations Geneva
Description
The General Director of the united Nations and Ivan Pictet, President of the Fondation Pictet have decided to create a reception centre for the visitors, thus to bring a better understanding of the functions and activities of the United Nations and other international institutions based in Geneva.
In close collaboration with architect Charles Pictet and LLTT Agency based in Turin, François Confino has developed a daring scenographical project in 8 « acts » to underline the activities of these organizations in the following domains:
Environment-Rights-Peace-Humanitarian crisis-Migrations-Health-Development-Technology ending by an « Epilogue ».
Each theme is illustrated by a strong scenography, comprehensive to international public :
For example, for peace, a military tank overgrown by vegetation and for migration, a continually moving ribbon of suitcases.
